Writing my own myth definitely gave me a new appreciation for reading and studying different kinds of myths. In my opinion, what makes a myth so enjoyable is the fact that they are such timeless stories. What I found myself paying attention to when brainstorming, drafting, and writing my own myth was finding a way to make it feel like it could’ve been written at any point in time. That is also a part of the reason why I chose to write about a topic that doesn’t date the myth
