Alera could feel that this birthday would be an important one. Often, she would see her daughter wandering off alone, taking walks by the sea and attempting to sing by herself, although it never really worked. They were spending less and less time singing together and although this greatly saddened Alera, she did not want to guilt her daughter into something she didn’t want to do. This lack of connection began to create an incredibly vast gap between the two. Alera was beginning to harbor negative feelings and would desperately try to hold on to her daughter, even though she knew this was pushing her further away. Her daughter began to resent her too and felt as if she was being suffocated by Alera. On the few occasions they would attempt to sing together, it never sounded right and they would decided to stop just a few minutes in. In reality, it shouldn’t have been a surprise to Alera when Eonath, the god of harmony, appeared on the morning of her daughter’s 15th birthday and offered them a solution neither could refuse.
